Tired of seeing the best Xbox 360 mods locked behind complex wiring and hardware chips? Meet the ABadAvatar USB—the ultimate "soft-mod" solution for the modern era.
Using the revolutionary Bad Update / ABadAvatar hypervisor exploit, you can now unlock your retail console’s full potential without ever turning a screwdriver.
Why Choose the USB Method?
How it Works
This is a non-persistent soft-mod that lives entirely on your USB. To use it, simply plug the drive in and power on your console. The exploit triggers automatically at the sign-in screen (usually within 60-90 seconds), booting you straight into your custom dashboard.
Note: Because this exploit runs in temporary memory, it is not permanent. The USB must be plugged in each time you boot the console to enable your perks. It’s the easiest way to enjoy a modded experience while keeping your console 100% original.

Important Information (Please Read Before Purchasing)
Non-Persistent Mod: This is a software-based exploit. Unlike a hardware RGH mod, the "Bad Avatar" exploit is not permanent. Your console returns to its original retail state every time you turn it off. To re-enable your mods, the USB must be plugged in during every boot-up.
Stealth & Online Play: You can choose to have this USB pre-loaded with a Stealth Server (selected via the dropdown). While this allows you to go online, we do not advise playing online with this exploit. At the end of the day, your console is still a retail unit; using a softmod online carries a significantly higher risk than a hardware RGH.
System Requirements: * Dashboard: Your Xbox 360 must be on the latest version (2.0.17559.0).

The Bad Avatar exploit is a sophisticated software tool. If you have questions about your dashboard or avatar data, please reach out on Discord before purchasing. Visit our FAQ at dynamicmodders.com/faq.
This is a "Softmod" that allows you to run modded software on a standard retail Xbox 360 without opening the console or soldering. By plugging in the USB and following a specific sign-in process, you trigger a "hacked state" that allows the console to run the Aurora Dashboard and Mod Menus.
No. An RGH is a permanent hardware modification. The Bad Avatar USB is a non-persistent softmod. This means the mod is only active while the USB is plugged in. If you turn off the console and remove the USB, your Xbox returns to its standard retail state.
Your console must meet two requirements:
It must be updated to the latest official dashboard version (2.0.17559.0).
You must have the Avatar Update installed (your avatars must not be grey mannequins). If you don't have these, you must update via Xbox Live or an official Microsoft update before using the USB.
You can choose to have Stealth Server files pre-loaded on the USB, which allows for online play. However, we do not recommend playing online with a softmod. Since the console is still a retail unit, the risk of a ban is much higher than on a hardware RGH system.
Yes! We offer an optional Pre-Modded Game Add-on. If selected, we will load the USB with a full game (like GTA V or Black Ops 2) that has Script Mods and Custom Textures already embedded. If you don't select this, you will need to source and load your own games.
It works on almost every Phat, Slim, and E model. The only exception is the "Winchester" motherboard (manufactured late 2014-2015), which is incompatible with all current exploits.
